A Beautiful World

I've been a little sad thinking about the state of the world lately. Everytime I turn on the news there's a new tragedy being broadcast and at times I feel that the world is so full of people doing evil things that it will never be at peace.
Today I put on an old CD from one of my favorite artist while studying and as I listened I found myself paying attention to the lyrics to a specific song and my hope in the world was renewed. The song was basically saying that despite all the wrong in the world it's still beautiful, and every person can create their own personal world and make time "stand still" for themselves by appreciating the beauty in it.
Sometimes we lose sight of what living is all about, or if life is worth the struggles it brings. Sometimes we seem to only be able to see the pain in life but we should always realize that there is still beauty and beautiful people in the world that are going through the same struggles that we are everyday. The song also seems to point out that you don't have to be a "hero" to make a difference. The lyrics are simplistically poignant so I have included them for your reading pleasure, hope they inspire you too;-)

A Beautiful World
Many a measles and hand grenades
Everyone's skinny and overweight
And I don't know
If livin is the worth the fight
So sometimes I just don't
It's such a beautiful world
Time stands still for each one of us
Ooh maybe I'm no hero
But I can't help myself
I need a reason to smile today
People are pregnant and underpaid
I don't know
If learning is worth the time
So sometimes I just don't
It's such a beautiful world
Just stand still for a minute more
Ooh maybe I'm no hero but
I can't help myself
And baby I don't know
If giving is worth the loss
It's such a beautiful world
Time stands still for each one of us
Ooh maybe I'm no hero
But I can't help myself
All the birds, All the babies
All the tress in the spring
All the joy that it brings
All the top 10 centerfolds
All the joy, All the babies
All the leaves in the spring
All the love that it brings
I can't help myself
